As you grow older, you realize there are different stages of fear that is unavoidable. Fear of losing someone — Fear of failing a particular subject — Fear of being a disappointment to your parents — Fear of falling — Fear of falling in love again — Fear of losing your money — Fear of opening up to someone.

“What’s your fear?” Which phase of life are you at? Fear is something that we can feel, which means it is something that we can control. Don’t you think so?

There’s always a backstory to why we feel this way. Fearful of starting a new relationship. Why? You had a bad one previously. Afraid of failing your studies. Why? Your dad has already set high expectations for you, and you don’t wish to disappoint him. Fearful of losing another business. Why? You had a bad start during your first one.

“Embrace what you can’t avoid.”

People, in general, like to overthink and complicate their current situation. Why do you choose to doubt yourself? A question that we don’t ask ourselves enough. It’s very similar to why we decide to make a wrong moment in our day into the worst day of our life. We need to remember that it was a bad hour of your day. Why make your remaining 23 hours of your day a bad one when it can be for something better. Think about it? You have $50,499 in your bank account, and someone stole $10 from you. Will you exhaust all your money to find that guy, or are you going to move on from it?

So stop being fearful and start taking baby steps to your next big thing. You may not know what your future has in store for you. Grab that opportunity or create one that sparks fun in you. Start preparing yourself to be fearless.

Live life with lesser regrets. Which question will you rather ask yourself in 5 years? I regret not doing that big thing five years ago? I regret not asking her out? I regret not meeting more people? Or look how far I have come, I didn’t expect to go this far, can’t believe I’m married now. Which one will you prefer?

So? To be fearless or to be fearful? You make a choice! Craft out how you want your life to be and not how society wants it to be. Tell yourself 2020 is going to be my year!
